Resolution No. 01 – 2012
A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR AND COLLECTION OF REGISTRATION FEES AS PROVIDED FOR UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF HB2312 (2011) AMENDING THE PROVISIONS OF K.S.A.50-1, 109 et seq.
WHEREAS, HB 2312 amending the provisions of K.S.A. 50-01, 109 et seq. required every business in Cherokee County and not otherwise in an incorporated city, that purchase any regulated scrap metal, to first register each place of business to the Board of County Commissioners; and
WHEREAS, each registration application for each place of business within the county shall be accompanied by a registration fee of not to exceed $400.00, or renewal fee of not to exceed $50.00.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF CHEROKEE COUNTY, KANSAS, meeting in regular session, that a registration application fee of
$ 300.00 be required to accompany each application for registration of each business location intending to purchase any regulated scrap metal.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a renewal application fee of
$ 50.00 be required to accompany each application for renewal for registration of each business location intending to purchase any regulated scrap metal.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all such applications for registration shall be filed in the Office of the Cherokee County Clerk and brought before the Board of County Commissioners at its next regular meeting for consideration, as required by law, and all fees shall be disbursed by the County Clerk to the General Fund of Cherokee County, Kansas.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution shall take effect upon its publication in the Official County Newspaper.
